Nitish Kumar said that we will discuss the strategies of the opposition alliance for the general elections to be held next year during the upcoming meeting in Mumbai. Matters like seat allotment will be discussed and many other agendas are being finalized.

The next and third meeting of the opposition alliance ‘I.N.D.I.A’ is going to be held in Mumbai on August 31 and September 1. Earlier, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that during the upcoming meeting of the opposition alliance in Mumbai, some more political parties are likely to join it. He said that I want to unite as many parties as possible before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. I am working in that direction. I have no desire for myself.

However, JDU leader and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar did not reveal the names of the parties which are going to join the opposition alliance. But it was definitely said that the issue like seat-sharing will definitely be discussed in the Mumbai meeting.

Regarding Nitish Kumar’s participation in the Mumbai meeting, he clearly said that I am leaving, I do not want anything personal. I want to unite everyone. Regarding the opposition party BJP in Bihar, he said that there is no need to pay attention to the allegations of the opposition. Everyone knows that BJP is going to be harmed by this alliance.

Demand is rising to make Bihar CM Nitish the PM candidate

Nitish may have said that he does not want anything personal, but his party leaders are constantly saying that Nitish Kumar should become the prime ministerial candidate of the opposition alliance. Bihar minister and JDU leader Shravan Kumar said that people of states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh want Nitish Kumar to become the PM candidate of ‘I.N.D.I.A’. Also said that Nitish Kumar is a worthy candidate for the post of Prime Minister. Shravan Kumar said that people of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and many states of the country are demanding that Nitish Kumar be made the prime ministerial candidate of the opposition alliance. He also said that Nitish Kumar himself neither aspires to become the Prime Ministerial candidate of the Bharat Alliance nor to become its convenor.

Earlier, senior JDU leader Dhananjay Singh, while advocating opposition unity before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, said that party workers in Uttar Pradesh want Nitish Kumar to contest from Phulpur constituency in the state. Let us tell you that 26 parties have formed the I.N.D.I.A alliance to take on the ruling BJP-led NDA in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
